Timothy E. Gordon
Executive Director
Gordon oversees the Foundation’s vision, strategy, and programming, leading FAAAF’s efforts to uplift Black and BIPOC filmmakers, expand creative education, and increase the cultural reach of the Foundation’s year-round initiatives.
Dr. Ivan C. Walks
Board Chair
Dr. Walks provides strategic leadership and governance oversight for the Foundation. He guides board development, ensures strong organizational alignment, and supports FAAAF’s mission to uplift Black and BIPOC storytellers through culturally centered programming and community impact.
Judith Fitzgerald
Board Vice Chair
Fitzgerald supports board governance, partnership cultivation, and and nonprofit program development across the Foundation’s programs. She plays a key role in advancing FAAAF’s organizational growth and strengthening community and industry engagement
Brenda Gilbert
Board Member
Gilbert provides financial oversight and supports the Foundation’s creative and community development strategies. Her background as co-founder of BRON Media brings industry experience and high-level insight to FAAAF’s long-term artistic and operational growth.
Lance Kramer
Board Member
Kramer contributes expertise in documentary filmmaking, community storytelling, and strategic initiatives. He supports FAAAF’s community-facing initiatives and strengthens partnerships across the creative ecosystem.
Dr. Castel Sweet
Board Member
Dr. Sweet brings expertise in community engagement, cultural research, and equity-centered program design. She supports FAAAF’s education and outreach strategies, ensuring programs remain rooted in cultural relevance and community impact.
Dr. Frank Shih
Board Member
Dr. Shih offers a unique perspective informed by his experience in public health and medical research. He contributes to strategic planning and provides insight into wellness, youth development, and community-centered programming.
